In September 2011, Ashley went with best friend Vanessa Hudgens to get tattooed by Bang Bang – who’s also inked the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry. They didn’t opt for matching tattoos, instead Ashley got “jamais seule” tattooed on her foot, which translates to “never alone”, and Vanessa got the “Om” symbol on her hands. Ashley got the tattoo carefully placed so that it shows even when she is wearing heels.

Kelly Ripa is one of those people I can’t help but like, even though she’s usually not my type of girl. I like them more hardcore, but Kelly does have some edge. She’s so hardcore she got a new tattoo on her wrist. It’s a really ugly cursive tattoo of “Consuelos” – her married name. She and Mark have been married for 13 years, and this is her second tattoo (that we know of). Her first was the rose thingie that she has on her ankle, which she got when she was 19 years old, and which she’s said she regrets. She got this new one done in Brooklyn! Hardcore. She told the “Live With Regis and Kelly” audience that the tattoo was “a little inky but it will heal.”

I think it’s kind of cool that Kelly got the tattoo in general, even though I think the cursive is a little ugly. But it’s a nice gesture, and I bet Mark likes it. Kelly and Mark seem to have a really solid marriage, and it’s not like she got a tattoo of some dude’s name that she’d been dating for two weeks. Now that would have been hardcore.

We like it, it looks good. You might ask why in Chinese? Well, for one it looks good in Chinese calligraphy. It might look ok in English calligraphy too but how do you write English vertically? Not very easily. Also, this way, unless you speak Chinese (like 1/6th of the world), you have to ask or wonder what it means. Kind of like a little half secret. The 36-year-old actress even matched her T-shirt to her new inking as she left a cafe in Hollywood after having a drink with friends.

Wearing skinny jeans, a loose top and a panama hat, Penelope was dressed for the hot Los Angeles weather, with the new tattoo acting as an interesting accessory to her outfit.

But the meaning behind the new inking is not clear.

The actress is no stranger to tattoos, and has the number ’883′ etched on to her ankle.

However, Penelope has always kept quiet on the reasons behind the tattoo choice, dismissing rumours that it has links to Scientology or Numerology.

She said: ‘It’s not a Harley Davidson. It’s not the different things that

have been said. I don’t think anyone cares. It’s my own Tattoo.’

Penelope previously revealed that her lucky numbers are the numbers 8 and 3, but has not explained why she chose to have the second 8 added.

Meanwhile, Penelope’s relationship with fellow actor Javier Bardem, 41, is going from strength to strength.

Despite the couple preferring to keep details of their relationship private, Javier made a public declaration of his love for Penelope last month as he collected his Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.

After accepting the trophy, Javier told the audience: ‘I share this joy with my friend, my companion, my love: Penelope: I owe you a lot and I love you so much.’

And it seems the dedication was entirely unplanned, as Penelope looked as surprised as the rest of the crowd – her eyes filling up with tears as she heard Javier’s words.

Javier’s dedication has sparked rumours the couple, who have been dating since 2007, are planning to marry in the near future.
